Sally Hansen Nail Care Routine

The first time I was introduced to Sally Hansen, I was kindergarten. Someone from the US had sent some nail care products to my sister and I was really curious about what they are. The first thing about those manicure products is that their distinct smell - quite strong but I loved it. 10 years had passed, I kept on searching the products but they weren't available in the Indian market.

A few years back from now, the products were finally available on the Nykaa website. Thanks to Nykaa for finally bringing the products to market. I was at university back then, and I was so excited.

Sally Hansen's products are a bit expensive so I had made up my mind to buy them when I get my first job. Fast forward to today, I'm gonna share with you, my nail care routine with 3 of the Sally Hansen products that I recently purchased.

1) Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover

As the name suggests, this product helps to get rid of uneven cuticles and make them smooth.

This product can be a boon or a bane - it depends on how you use it. Firstly, read the instructions on the back carefully. Squeeze a tiny drop on the cuticles, spread it evenly, use a cuticle pusher to gently push the cuticles back in the nail bed, and wash your hands with warm soapy water. Do not leave the product on the cuticles for more than 2 seconds. And this process should be done not more than once a week. For first time users, do a patch test on one of the cuticles first, and then proceed on the other nail beds.

This product has worked wonders for me. I use a really tiny bit of the solution as too much of the product feels somewhat stingy.

2) Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Hardener

This is one of the best base coats I've used in a while. It dries in 2 seconds. And it has kept my nails super healthy. Sometimes I do not apply any nail paint so I just apply this on my bare nails. Otherwise, I use it as a base coat. Does it harden nails? My nails have not shown any signs of cracks or crevices and they're of medium length. I have been using this product for a month now and I quite like it!

3) Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat

This is by far, my favourite Sally Hansen product. If you want some shine on your nails, you may apply it on your bare nails. If you do nail art like me, this works really well as a no smudge top coat. Sometimes, applying a top coat will bleed away designs done with acrylic colours on nails. Bummer! But Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat is a saviour. Also, it dries so quickly. Within a minute! Probably I should call it a quick dry no smudge top coat. Sounds perfect !
